Soon we'll all be unemployed. Facebook announced Friday that it would make it much more automated lists topics presented as trends on the social network, he had been charged earlier this year to manipulate the US at the expense of the Conservatives.
A message posted on the group's website says "changes to functionality Trends on Facebook that will make the automated product, and no longer will require that people write descriptions for the subjects in the trend."
Facebook relies primarily practical reasons. "A procedure based more on algorithms allows us to increase the scale of Trends to cover more subjects and to (functionality) available to more people in the world over the term" unless the subjects are summarized written by hand, he argues. However, the group acknowledges the accelerated implementation of these changes "given the feedback we have had from the Facebook community earlier this year."
"No systematic bias"
The "Trending" or "Trends" which does not exist in the French version of Facebook, is a small tablet that mentions the most discussed topics on the social network. She found herself at the center of a controversy in spring after the articles Gizmodo news website quoted former clients of Facebook working within the dedicated service and accused the social network of bias in its editorial choices. Some journalists service employees have thus rejected, on their own, topics related to conservative figures.
Facebook has denied the accusations of bias and ensured to have opened an investigation.
He reiterated Friday that he had "found no evidence of systematic bias," but said that humans who remain involved in the function Trends "to ensure that the subjects that appear are high quality" strictly respect the imposed guidelines by the group
